New Project / In Progress: ChiappisiComputers.com
Chiappisi Computers is being developed for a long-standing computer creation & repair company that is in dire need of a website. Chiappisi Computers is a local, Columbus-based business that specializes in solving software, hardware and networking issues as well as building and updating computers at an affordable price. This website project started off with a specific web plan that would have incredibly clear navigation in preparation for visitors with very little computer and possibly internet knowledge. It also involved the design of a very simple yet effective logo.
Technically speaking, Chiappisi Computers will involve great CSS/HTML coding that will place it among the top Columbus computer repair businesses. It also requires PHP and Javascript in order to accomodate a dynamic feel and contact form functionality. Chiappisi Computers also features flash development that will be include an engaging home page piece that will help display the wizardry of computer repair that they wield. This project should be launched no later than the end of April 2008.

Bella Blu Studio logo completed
A few comps and color schemes later, the logo for Bella Blu Studio is finished. Bella Blu Studio is a wedding photography company located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their current logo was fairly lack-luster and not as quite as sleek and contemporary as they were looking for, so it went through quite a bit of an overhaul. Their newly designed logo is much more modern and can easily tie in to their home cityscape in various advertising and design projects.

New project acquired: design-Yard.com
Often I come across an interesting idea yet lack the knowledge to achieve it or am seeking some inspiration to dodge past my designer's block. In these cases I turn to the internet and a long list of websites that seperately make up an amazing resource for designers. Somedays however, as they are all spread out, it's rather difficult to find exactly what I need - and I may need to stroll through several of my resource sites until I find it.
For this reason I felt the need to create an 'All-in-One' designer's paradise of resources which would house not only tutorials and techniques, but also design inspirations, fonts, photography and icons. Thus design-Yard.com was born. design-Yard will be a website dedicated to my peers and those who are curious at how it is we do the things we do.

Jennifer-West.com gets a new look
I must say, being the perfectionist that I am, I often dread the moment when I realize that my personal portfolio website needs a facelift. Normally it means countless hours and multitudes of design comps and then narrowing the endless pile of designs down to one particular design, only to find that the one I have chosen just really doesn't quite do it for me. However this time around I had only a handful of designs before I realized that this one was the clear winner, without any reservations or designer's remorse.
In Progress: AprendeIngles.us
Aprendeingles.us is a website being developed for a small company located in California who wishes to raise awareness of the lack of English-speaking people in the United States. 'Aprende Ingles' translates into 'Speak English'. From a technical standpoint, Aprende Ingles requires a CSS layout and well-written HTML in order to rank higher within search engines. Furthermore it will require PHP, SQL and Javascript in order to have a database-driven shopping cart and blog/news section. This project should be launched no later than May 2008.

Sales Site for Jumpline.com FINALLY released
Jumpline is an incredibly large web hosting company and currently also my fulltime employer. This is one of many projects I have done for them, though this can arguably be the most important. This is also the website in which they are the most particular about the look, feel and function of portions of it. This Sales Site was a redesign with such a large overhaul on the content, site tree and graphics of Jumpline that you would barely recognize the two side-by-side as referring to the same company.

Welcome to me
I am an extremely passionate and creative graphic/web designer in the Columbus, Ohio area who is always seeking additional freelance and full-time job opportunities in which I can grow and put my ever-increasing web design/devel talents to good use.
A little background
I started out college with an interest in math and teaching, and essentially found my true calling for web/graphic design while doing freelance design work for banner advertising for Link Exchange. Though expenses drove me out of college until I was twenty-four, I pushed myself to head back to college and finish my four-year degree - a drive to succeed that I carry with me to this day.
This drive and hunger to know more has challenged me to keep learning new technologies and techniques; to continously offer the best solutions to my clients and employers, essentially giving them innovative ways to reach their viewers and potential customers.
